Life..... On the Road...... Final Count Down for the Mother Road.... Route 66

So..... we were not able to do the Mother Road in 2012, so here it is 2015, and we are planing it once again.  We will be leaving on Sunday May 31st....we are going start in  Joliet, Illinois.

I have a countdown app on my phone... 78 day's seems like a long time away, but, it will be here before we know it.... Lots of stuff to do before the trip... Get bike checked out, figure out a route.  Though, I'm just here to enjoy the ride.  This is Mike's bucket list ride.  

I have to get my camera ready, you know that I'm going to be driving the guys nuts once again with my stopping to take pictures....   I figure I have to when I get this chance.... why? Because, we may never pass this way again.  I want to document the trip.... 

I will be blogging each day during the trip.  I found that when we went to Yellowstone that I was glad that I blogged every day, it helped keep everything in order.  Being on the road for so long, you can't remember what happened when.....   Blogging helps with that.

So here we go...... The Final Count Down!!!!

Winter has been non stop and totally kicked our butt this year in WNY.  It started in November, and never let up all winter. We had the coldest  February ever. The snow is starting to melt, the roads are clear, but full of salt. No riding for me yet, though I did ride in my dream last night! :-) Boy did that feel good..... Soon.... Soon, I'll be riding... 

I know from last time we took a long trip, that every time that I get on my bike from now till then, my mind will go to the day that we are leaving....  I will be visualizing May 31..... Getting on the bike and heading to Joliet....  Yes, it will be here before I know it....
